For the Sermon on the Mount series at Doxa Church, we gave the artwork a storybook look and feel, as this is a passage that many in church have grown up with and find familiar. We incorporated the text from different parts of the passage into their associated images. For example, in the second image with the fraying cloth, one verse reads,"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust destroy." This additional element drove home the storybook theme while tying each image more closely
to its section.
